Visakhapatnam: With a dream to get into modelling and acting career, young and aspiring girls set the ramp on fire with their beauty and brain in the finale of Miss Visakha-2016 beauty pageant held here on Saturday. The best 20 candidates walked down the ramp donning different types of outfits as per the format of the rounds. Hailing from diverse academic backgrounds, about 180 candidates had turned up for the audition round where 32 contestants were shortlisted by the jury of the event organised by Sai Creative Entertainment, Ray Events and Hamp-shire Events.
After the grooming and training, 20 finalists were selected for the finale of the contest. The finalists were assessed on their confidence level, intelligence and spontaneity in responding to a set of questions, among other parameters. Apart from the main title, Miss Visakha, first runners-up and second runners-up, the participants won titles in 11 categories such as Miss Beautiful, Best Hair, Best smile, Best skin and Best eyes, among others. The top three winners from all the shows conducted in the districts will get direct entry into Miss AP which would be held in January.
