FCI to e-Auction Wheat in Andhra Pradesh to Control Food Grain Prices in Open Market

Traders and bulk buyers are not allowed to participate in the auction

Vijayawada: Food Corporation of India (FCI) is e-auctioning wheat in the AP region on October 26th to control prices of food grains in the open market.

The base price of the wheat will be as fixed by the Ministry of Food and Public Distribution.

FCI AP region general manager Chandrasekhar Joshi said food processors and atta, chakki and flour millers can participate in the e-auction. Traders and bulk buyers are not allowed to participate in the auction.

An eligible bidder can bid for minimum 10 metric tonnes to maximum 100 metric tonnes of wheat. 2,000 MTs of wheat will be on auction in AP, including 100 MTs for Port Blair in Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Chandrasekhar said to participate in the e-auction, the bidder must have a valid FSSAI license, GST / trade tax registration and PAN. The bidder must declare existing stock holding on the WSP Portal https://evegolis.nic.in/wsp/login.

The GM underlined that FCI Amaravati regional office is also offering wheat from its depots every Friday through its m-junction platform http://www.valuejunction.in/fci. The current rate is Rs 2,150 per quintal for FAQ wheat and Rs 2,125 per quintal for URS wheat. Taxes applicable will be extra.
