Chennai: The Twitter war over the Murasoli land continued with increased 'ferocity' as the PMK founder Dr S Ramadoss insisted that the site indeed had a hostel for Adi Dravidar students and demanded to know why the DMK president M. K. Stalin stayed silent on that factor.
“Stalin is showing only a patta of 1985 but what about the ownership papers relating to the earlier period? What about the parent document?” asked Ramadoss in a Tweet on Saturday. He also wondered why Stalin was blocking out the Murasoli land's ownership history of 20 years before 1985.
When did the DMK buy the Murasoli land and where are the ownership papers prior to 1985, the PMK chief demanded to know. He also raised the question how a hostel for Adi-Dravidar students lost its land to private hands and finally to the DMK party organ.
Not just that; Ramadoss also raised questions about the DMK acquiring the land for its headquarters, Anna Arivalayam, on the arterial Anna Salai. He claimed that the AIADMK government had sent a notice to the DMK about this large piece of land but the DMK quietly cancelled that when it came to power in 2007.
Responding, Stalin fired his own missile offering to produce all the ownership documents of the Murasoli land but only if Ramadoss accepts his challenge to quit politics when his bluff is thus called. He is willing to bring for verification all the ownership papers, including the parent document, but Ramadoss should quit politics along with his son Dr Anbumani once those papers prove his (Ramadoss') bluff, Stalin said.
“If Maruthuvar Ayya (doctor sir) is really an honest politician, he must accept my challenge and come for verifying the documents. I am ready. I expect he will accept my challenge and refrain from diversionary tactics to wriggle out in his usual manner”, said Stalin in his latest tweet.
And so the war goes on, on the social media....
