Bengaluru: Nigerian held for selling cocaine

The accused had come to India on a trade visa and had stayed back in the country even after his visa deadline had expired.

BENGALURU: Central Crime Branch (CCB) sleuths have arrested Ekene Okkonkova (34), a Nigerian national and seized Rs 1.70 lakh worth of cocaine from his residence in the city.

According to police, Ekene lived in a rented house in Bhyraveshwara Layout near Hennur Bande. On getting exact information, the sleuths raided his house and seized 20 grams of cocaine and a mobile phone among other things.

The accused had come to India on a trade visa and had stayed back in the country even after his visa deadline had expired. He had developed a network in the city to sell the banned stuff to students and customers across the city. The police have seized his passport. A case had been registered in Hennur police station.
