Telangana government taxing the jobless, says T Jeevan Reddy
Hyderabad: Congress senior leader T. Jeevan Reddy has slammed caretaker Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, alleging that the government was benefiting from the unemployed in the form of exam applications which the applicants have to purchase.
“The VRO exams which were held earlier this week is an example of this. For the 700 vacancies, about 12 lakh applications were received. The government has collected Rs 400 per applicant as fee. This is a way of gaining from the unemployed and certainly not the way the government should look at the unemployed. They should be charged only a nominal amount.”
Mr Jeevan Reddy has also slammed the government over mission Bagheeratha and other welfare schemes. He said, “Mission Bagheer-atha caused the state to run into debts.”
