Sri Krishnadevaraya University on the boil as students held

The varsity has been witnessing agitations by student unions for the past few days.

ANANTAPUR: The Sri Krishnadevaraya University, known as the base of many agitations, is in controversy after the varsity authorities suspended three student leaders for their role in disturbing the administration and also served show cause notices to employees. The varsity has been witnessing agitations by student unions for the past few days. On Monday, the police arrested a group of students for staging protest against the authorities.

Cases were registered against non-boarder K. Linga Reddy and two regular students of the YSRC Student Organisation on reasons of disrupting the functioning at Administrative Building of the varsity during an agitation on Friday. Regular students N. Bhanuprakash Reddy of MSW and K. Jayachandra Reddy, a research scholar, were suspended.
