Hyderabad: A 16-year-old’s craze to become a cricketer made him run away from home in Kushaiguda two months ago. B. Saisujan who was studying Intermediate ran away after his parents told him to focus on studies. The police who had registered a missing case and were searching for him tracked him down to Mumbai.
Police said Saisujan went to Mumbai and started working as a helper at a water plant and with the money he was planning to join a club. He was rescued in Mumbai and is being shifted to Hyderabad.
Earlier, a Class X girl, who went missing from home in Bachupally to become an actress was also traced and rescued from Mumbai.
Saisujan, who was studying Intermediate at a private college in Tarnaka, is the son of Krishna Rao and Rekha. From childhood, he was interested in cricket and took coaching for sometime in Hyderabad. Meanwhile, his parents told him to focus on studies also.
A few days later, he left home to college, but did not return home. It was found that the boy had also carried his clothes with him, when he left home.
A missing case was registered at the Kusha-iguda police station and teams were formed to trace the boy in vain.
Later, the parents approached the police commissioner of Rachakonda during a Praja Darbar and brought the issue to his notice. Knowing that the boy had a passion for cricket the commissioner deputed teams to inquire at cricket clubs and coaching institutes in the city.
Suspecting that he had travelled to Mumbai, the Mumbai police and some Mumbai-based NGOs were informed, and a team along with his parents were sent to Mumbai.
Meanwhile, Mumbai police and NGOs circulated Saisujan’s details and pictures on social media. The teams started a search from Azad ground near Chatrapathi Shivaji Terminus. Soon, locals found the boy at a water plant and informed the police. He was rescued and will be shifted to Hyderabad. Police said they haven’t found details about how he travelled and why he travelled to Mumbai....
