Bengaluru: Despite a heavy spell of rain on Saturday afternoon, the BBMP control room reportedly did not receive any complaint of flooding, but there were 23 complaints of trees falling.
Officials at the control room said that trees fell at BTM Layout, Golf Club, REMCO Layout, Vasanthanagar, Magadi Road, Mahalaxmi Layout and the street opposite Gangotri Hospital.
"Because of the strong breeze, the trees fell and we received complaints of around 22-23 trees falling from these areas," the official said.
He, however, made it clear that unlike Tuesday, the control room was not inundated with calls and the issues were resolved. A big tree fell on a car opposite DGP's office on Nrupathunga Road.
