Rebel YSRC MP Lodges Complaint with LS Speaker

Visakhapatnam: Rebel YSRC MP Raghurama Krishnaraju has on Thursday given a written complaint to Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla charging that M.V.V. Satyanarayana, MP from Visakhapatnam, had abused him in the Parliament’s Central Hall in foul and filthy language and threatened to kill him.

In his letter to the speaker, Krishnaraju said MPs Aravind Sawant, Anil Desai and a few more members of parliament were present when the Visakhapatnam MP abused him in the central hall around 11:45 a.m. after the Lok Sabha had adjourned for the day.

The rebel MP mentioned that when Satyanarayana threatened to take his life, YSRCP floor leader P.V. Mithun Reddy took the Visakhapatnam MP away.

In the letter, Krishnaraju recalled that MP G. Venu Madhav had threatened him in a similar manner twice. Despite his complaint, Venu Madhav had not even been called by the privilege committee to give an explanation, the rebel MP told the speaker.

He hoped an inquiry will be conducted into Thursday’s incident. He said he would request parliamentarians present at the time of his abuse to stand as witnesses.

When contacted by DC, Vizag MP Satyanarayana refused to comment on the issue.
