Kochi: HC rejects NSS plea on Khader panel report

According to the complainant, the amendment is against the constitutional rights and the provisions of right to education Act of 2009.

Kochi: The high court on Friday rejected the demand by the NSS seeking an interim order on the implementation of Khader Committee report. The NSS was pleading the court to grant a stay on the amendments to the Kerala Education Rules (KER) for implementing the report. Rejecting the demand for an interim order and stay, the court posted the case for further hearing on July 29.

The petition filed by the NSS seeks to annul the decision to bring uniformity in secondary, higher secondary and vocational higher secondary courses in the public education system in the state. According to the complainant, the amendment is against the constitutional rights and the provisions of right to education Act of 2009.
