Mr Gopal said, “I had visited the multiplex on June 22 to watch a movie. I got frustrated with the advertisements which went on for nearly 20 minutes which is against the rules. Following this I approached the Sultan Bazaar police and lodged a complaint”.

He said, “The sub-inspector called me on June 27 and told me that it is not in their juristiction.”

Subsequently Mr Gopal went to the consumer forum and filed a petition making the police commissioner a party in the case.
