Hyderabad: Two pedestrians were killed in separate hit-and-run road accidents at Hayathnagar and Shamshabad on Thursday night.
At Rallaguda in Shamshabad under the RGI Airport police station limits, a pedestrian was mowed down by an unidentified vehicle. The RGIA police recovered the body and identified the victim as D. Muthaiah, 52, of Swaroopanagar, Uppal.
The police said Muthaiah was walking towards Rallaguda from a bus stop after meeting his sister when the accident took place. A case was registered under Section 304A of the IPC and the investigation is on to identify the vehicle.
In Hayathnagar, an unidentified man was was hit by an vehicle while he was crossing the road at Peddamberpet. The Hayathnagar police said the victim man was aged between 50 and 60 years. He was crossing the main road opposite Saidurga Wines towards LB Nagar when the accident took place. The victim suffered multiple fractures.
