Time for farmers to rule: KT Rama Rao
Rajanna Sircilla: Municipal minister K.T. Rama Rao on Wednesday said the state government was committed to make agriculture “a festival” and the farmer “a king”.
Asserting that all efforts were being made to provide irrigation water to 1 crore acre under various irrigation projects in the state, the minister said that it’s time for farmers to rule.
He was addressing a public meeting after laying foundation stones for various development works in Narmala village in Gambhiraopet mandal.
Mr Rama Rao said that the state government was committed to supplying power 24x7 to agriculture pumpsets in the state.
He inspected the ongoing construction of a bridge on the river Manair at Srigadha village that will connect three districts.
Mr Rama Rao also laid the foundation stone for feeder channel works under Mission Kakatiya and also a 33 KV power substation in Narmala village.
He participated in the ground breaking ceremony for the construction of mini tank bund in Gambhiraopet mandal headquarters.
