Hyderabad: The High Court asked the TS government clarify to by Thursday whether the Supreme Court had permitted it to approach the President for unified service rules for teachers, after verifying two earlier judgments of this court.
A division bench comprising acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice T. Rajani was hearing a petition filed by the Government Teachers Association challenging the constitutional validity of Para 2A of the Presidential Order inserted on June 23, 2014 with effect from November 20, 1998.
Association general secretary Mamidoju Veerachary said the provision had far-reaching consequences as it affects the service conditions of about 40,000 teachers.
