Water may reach Jurala from Narayanpur today
Hyderabad: Inflows into the Almatti dam in Karnataka came down to 95,656 cusecs on Tuesday against the 1.6 lakh cusecs on Monday. With the dam full, officials released about 93,000 cusecs of water through 23 of the 26 gates in the evening. Once the Narayanapur dam is filled, the water will be released for Telangana state, officials said.
Besides this, the one lakh cusecs of water released from Almatti reached Narayanapur on Tuesday. Officials are expecting that the water will reach Jurala by Wednesday. Officials from Karnataka have raised 11 gates up to 60 cm at Narayanapur and are releasing 43,488 cusecs of water. Inflow in Jurala was recorded at 71 cusecs and the same quantity has been released from the dam. Inflow and outflow in Srisailam was 40 cusecs, in Nagarjunasagar it was 301 cusecs, in KDS inflow was 2,717 cusecs and the same quantity of water was released.
