Thangamani displays his loyalty to Tamil Nadu CM

Thangamani praised Palaniswami's loyalty when he began replying to the debate on the demands for grants to the electricity and prohibition department.

Chennai: Electricity minister P.Thangamani on Monday sent a strong message of loyalty to Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami by praising him as a leader identified by former Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa and frequently asserting that the state government is functioning well under his guidance.

Andipatti MLA Thanga Thamizhselvan for his part tried to embarrass the ministers and Speaker P. Dhanapal, by intervening in the debate and asserting that the AIADMK is led by its general secretary V.K. Sasikala and deputy general secretary T.T.V. Dhinakaran. However, what he said afterwards was expunged by the Speaker.

Thangamani praised Palaniswami's loyalty when he began replying to the debate on the demands for grants to the electricity and prohibition department. Besides, the document containing the announcements of two departments electricity and prohibition, had the photos of the Chief Minister along with that of Jayalalithaa. While the former Chief Minister's photo was larger, Palaniswami's photo was in smaller size. This is the first document in the Assembly session to have the photo of the Chief Minister.

“Loyalty means elder brother Edappadi Palaniswami”, asserted the minister belonging to the Kongu region from where the Chief Minister himself comes from. “Palaniswami's loyalty to Amma had made him the Chief Minister”, Thangamani said, in a strong message to Sasikala's family which is claiming to have made Palaniswami the Chief Minister. “Amma had identified the right person to us”, he added. While listing the achievements of the state government, he said the Amma government is being guided efficiently by the Chief Minister.
