Hyderabad: Job roles created by new technologies are bringing fat pay cheques in their wake. Tech giants are not hesitating to offer higher pay to freshers skilled in these new-age tools and technologies.
Senior techies are a getting hike of up to one-third of their salary after re-skilling in the new technologies. For example, database administrators are getting a hike of 18 to 35 per cent after switching to analytics.
According to experts, techies specialising in big data, analytics and machine learning are getting a starting package of between Rs 4.9 lakh and Rs 6.4 lakh and for those with experience the pay is much higher.
The skills needed by organisations have seen a rapid transformation. While earlier there was a need to be able to work on different aspects of analytics, now there is greater consolidation in job roles and descriptions. Companies need people with subject matter expertise within an area of analytics and domain knowledge in their specific sector to set the business context.
