UDF gains in state, NDA likely to open account too

India Today, News Nation, Times Now and News X have predicted major victory for UDF. All these channels have predicted one seat for the NDA in Kerala.

Thiruvananthapuram: Various exit polls predict the UDF romping home with 15 to 16 of the Lok Sabha seats. While the LDF is predicted to get three to five seats, the NDA will secure a seat.

The biggest highlight in the majority of the surveys is that the NDA will be finally opening its account in Thiruvanant-hapuram LS seat, which saw a keenly contested triangular battle.

While the northern districts have come in favour of the UDF, the southern districts showed a slight leaning towards the LDF.

India Today, News Nation, Times Now and News X have predicted major victory for UDF. All these channels have predicted one seat for the NDA in Kerala.

Mathrubhumi News Geowide India Exit survey predicts 15 seats for UDF, four seats for LDF and a seat for NDA.

As per Mathrubhumi News poll survey, UDF is expected to get Kollam (N. K. Premachandran), Pathanamthitta (Anto Antony), Mavelikara (Kodikunnil Suresh), Kottayam (Thomas Cha-zhikadan), Idukki (Dean Kuriakose), Ernakulam (Hibi Eden), Chalakudy (Benny Behanan), Thri-ssur (T.N. Prathapan), Alathur (Remya Haridas), Malappuram (P.K. Kunha-likutty), Ponnani (E.T. Muhammed Basheer), Wayanad (Rahul Gandhi), Vadakara (K. Murale-edharan), Kannur (K. Sudhakaran) and Kas-aragod (Rajmohan Unni-than).

The LDF is expected to get Attingal (A. Sampath), Alappuzha (A.M. Arif), Palakkad (M.B. Rajesh) and Kozhikode (A. Pradeep Kumar).

The NDA is predicted to win the Thiruvananthapuram Lok Sabha seat which saw former Mizoram Governor Kummanam Rajasekharan contesting from there.

If Kummanam wins, he would be creating history with the BJP getting its first MP from Kerala. It would also mean two-time Congress MP from Thiruvananthapuram, Shashi Tharoor receiving a major setback.

The BJP is keeping its hopes high on Pathanamthitta LS seat too which has been the epicentre of Sabarimala women entry politics. However, the BJP State general secretary K. Surendran is predicted to come second (31 per cent) behind UDF’s Anto Antony where (37 per cent) a three percent difference is anticipated.

Manorama News Karvy Insights exit poll has predicted 15 seats for UDF and four for LDF from Kerala. Photo finish contests will be seen in Kannur, Kozhikode, Thrissur, Alappuzha and Thiruvananthapuram LS seats.

India Today's exit poll predicts 15-17 seats for UDF and three to five seats for LDF and one seat for the NDA. Axis exit poll predicts 15-16 seats for the UDF with LDF getting close to five seats and Pathanamthitta going for the NDA.

News X has claimed that the UDF will get 15 seats, LDF four seats and BJP one seat. CNN News 18 and News Nation exit poll have come as a huge relief to the LDF camp. While the former anticipates 11 -13 LS seats for the LDF in Kerala, the latter predicts five to seven seats. CNN News 18 claims that UDF might get seven to nine seats and NDA will get one seat. Times Now has also predicted 15 seats for UDF, four seats for LDF and a seat for NDA.

The counting of votes will take place on Thursday after a month long wait.
