Leaders flay attack on COT Nazeer
Kozhikode: Political leaders have protested strongly again-st the attack on rebel CPM leader C.O.T. Nazeer at Thalassery on Saturd-ay evening. The condition of Nazeer, who was admi-tted to Baby Memorial Hospital here with serious injuries on his head, hand and stomach was improving.
KPCC president Mullap-pally Ramachandran said the CPM was settling sco-res against Nazeer. “He is facing the same fate of RMP founder T.P. Chand-rasekharan who left the party and was hunted do-wn by criminal elements in the CPM,” he said.
K.K. Rema, wife of T.P. Chandrasekharan, said the murder attempt was preplanned. “I visited him at the hospital,” she said and added that Naz-eer had a narrow escape as he had blocked the kni-fe with his hand. “Sensi-ng defeat in Vadakara, the CPM leadership has lost it balance,” she said.
