Construction of 2599 piers done: HMRL

Mr Reddy further explained that the construction was carried out at an impressive pace as on an average, one Metro pillar was constructed per day.

Hyderabad: Barring a 6 km stretch in Old city, the Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) has completed the construction of all pillars in its phase-I project. The HMRL has constructed 2,599 pillars over a span of just seven years.

HMRL managing director Mr N.V.S. Reddy said that “a new world record” had been created by L&T, who single-handedly constructed all the pillars in the project.

Mr Reddy further explained that the construction was carried out at an impressive pace as on an average, one Metro pillar was constructed per day.
