CM Pinarayi Vijayan promises education for migrant workers' children

The Chief Minister said his government would provide them with facilities to learn Malayalam.

KOZHIKODE: Chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Saturday assured good education and healthcare for the children of migrant workers. Speaking to reporters here, he said his government would provide them with facilities to learn Malayalam. He also announced the government's plan to develop a software to mark pension age of government employees. "It'll help computing vacancies," he said.

Financial constraints, he said, is an obstruction in filling vacancies of teachers. He said the government was also considering the rehabilitation of return migrants
from abroad. He also offered efforts to reopen the Hajj House here. He had already taken it up with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and officials of Union civil aviation ministry.
