Andhra Pradesh to sanction new pensions
Kakinada: The State Finance Minister Mr. Yanamala Ramakrishnudu said that the Chief Minister Mr. N.Chandrababu Naidu has decided to sanction Rs 3.50 lakh new pensions for old people and destitute women. Inaugura-ting Sri Ramakrishna Colony Arch at Tuni on Saturday, Mr Ramakrishnudu said that though the State is facing severe financial crisis, the Government has been implementing several welfare schemes. He said that the loan waiver for Self Help Groups (SHG) of Rs 10,000 crore was being given in a phased manner.
He further added that the State Government aimed at constructing 19 lakhs houses out of which 5,000 were for Tuni Assembly Constituency. He said that remunerations and salaries were being increased for outsourced and contract employees and also anganwadis. Tuni Agri-cultural Marketing Committee Chairman said that Ramakrishna Colony had not been developed for 10 years, but now in the last three years, development had taken a quantum leap.
