OOTY: Press-Police face-off reappeared in yet another VVIP function during the flower show inaugural here on Friday.
While the press-police face off during the President Pranab Mukherjee’s visit to army centre at Wellington in last September hit the headlines, now again the face-off came to fore at the Government Botanical Garden here on Friday morning, a few minutes before the arrival of the Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisami for the function.The cops, learnt to have come to the garden from some other district, prevented the media persons from entering the flower show gallery. When senior media persons explained that it was a routine in flower show to take some snaps before the tourists and others were allowed inside the gallery area, the cops refused to budge.
