Hyderabad: For a change, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has put up a “Suggestion Box” for police personnel at the HICC to air their grievances and suggestions without fear irrespective of their position. “You can freely air your suggestions on a piece of paper and place it in the box. There’s no need to write your name. It will be confidential. The suggestions will be studied by senior police officers and discussed later,” KCR said.
“Think it’s a family meeting. If there are problems and anomalies, we will rectify it. Please feel free to air your suggestions,” the CM said.
Stating that Friday’s police conference involving SIs to DGP level officials was a new beginning to introduce reforms in the police structure, he said such conferences should be held twice a year for better results.
According to a police officer, several suggestions were received to improve the image of the police and the facilities they required. “They will be taken into consideration and appropriate steps taken,” he said.
