Heatwave to persist till may 23 across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh
Hyderabad: The heatwave prevailing across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh does not seem to ebb as the Met department has extended its warning for hotter days till Tuesday (May 23).
On Friday, severe heat wave conditions prevailed at isolated places in Guntur, West Godavari and Krishna districts of coastal Andhra Pradesh (CAP) and heat wave conditions prevailed at a few places in the districts of East God-avari, Prakasam and Nellor.
In TS, heatwave conditions prevailed at many places in the districts of Nalgonda, Kham-mam, Karimnagar, Adilabad and Warangal of TS, while Hyderabad recorded 42.2 degrees Celsius.
Severe heatwave conditions are very likely to prevail at isolated places and heatwave conditions very likely at many places in all CAP districts on Saturday and Sunday.
Meanwhile, thunderstorm accompanied with gusty wind is very likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Srikakulam, Vijayawada, Vish-akapatnam, East-West and North of CAP on Sunday.
Heat wave conditions are very likely to prevail on Monday and Tuesday at a few places in all the districts.
