Karnataka BJP to showcase Modi government's achievements
Bengaluru: With the Modi government completing two years in office, the state unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party will showcase its achievements in state in a campaign starting May 26.
Speaking to reporters here on Thursday, BJP national joint secretary, C.T. Ravi said a preliminary meeting had been called in Delhi on May 21 to discuss the campaign, which will be held in all states. BJP national office bearers and party general secretaries from the states will attend it, he explained, claiming that besides giving scam -free governance, Mr Modi had proved he was a global leader.
Commenting on the elections results, he said the win in Assam, the opening of its account in Kerala and the increase in its vote share in West Bengal had boosted the Bharatiya Janata Party’s confidence.
“Our two years of achievements at the Centre, the leadership of party President Amit Shah and the strong local leadership helped us win the Assam elections”, Mr. Ravi said.
The BJP leader , who was in-charge of the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, claimed the absence of a strong local leadership and strong candidates went against the party in the state.
“However we have gained a strong presence there this time and this will help the party in future,” he maintained,
State BJP spokesman, Suresh Kumar condemned the statement of Social Welfare Minister H.Anjaneaya comparing private school managements to brothels.
“Many private schools are imparting education with social commitment,” he pointed out, calling the minister’s remarks insulting.
