Apple CEO Tim Cook gives 5-step mantra in Hyderabad

Apple CEO signs MoU with city college, opens lab for apps.

Hyderabad: Apple CEO Tim Cook visited the Narayanamma Institute of Technology and Science for Women in the city on Thursday and signed an MoU.
College chairman P. Subba Reddy and secretary G. Srividya Reddy said the MoU would bridge the gap between academics and industry.

Mr Cook launched a research-oriented app development lab with high-end Apple systems at the college. The centre will be run under the supervision of GNIT. Mr Cook contributed the high-end Mac systems to the lab.

GNITS principal K. Ramesh Reddy said specialised app developers from Apple were training students to enhance their knowledge of Mac IOs and related future apps.

After launching the lab, Mr Cook told students during an interaction session: “For the young generation to get into top companies like Apple, one should 1) Think differently; 2) Be of high integrity; 3) Communicate effectively; 4) Work with the group without ego; and 5) Be able to propose & understand new ideas.”

Responding to a question, he said that the Apple team was working hard to the future generation’s requirements and was looking forward to collaborate with teams to develop new apps. The Apple CEO later obliged students with selfies and group photos.
