Hyderabad: Free accommodation Haj draw on May 4
Hyderabad: The draw for free accommodation during the Haj in Macca for pilgrims belonging to the erstwhile Hyderabad State will be held on May 4. This facility is being provided by the Nizam’s Rubath.
According to Mr Hussain Mohammed Mudar Hussain Al Shareef Nazer (controller) of Nizam Rubath, the draw for 1,223 pilgrims who applied under Azizia category will be held at 4 pm at Chowmahalla Palace. The pilgrims selected through a computerised draw will be lodged in three modern buildings acquired by the management of Nizam Rubath, which are located within three km from the Kaaba. The list of selected pilgrims and 100 in the waiting list will be displayed on the Rubat’s website http://www.hrubath.org next day.
Pilgrims from the state and those from Bidar, Gulbarga, Raichur and Yadgir districts of Karnataka and Osmanabad, Aurangabad, Beed, Nanded, Parbhani, Latur, Hingoli and Jalna of Maharashtra who had applied under the Azizia category will be included in the draw.
Selected pilgrims will be exempt from accommodation charges at macca, which amounts to approximately Rs 40,000 per pilgrim. Last year, 1,278 pilgrims had availed of this facility.
