Haj Committee of India allots 500 slots for women

Hyderabad: The Haj Committee of India has allotted 500 slots for women who desire to join the mahram (make escort) for Haj 2019 and had not submitted their applications.

According to a Telangana State Haj Committee official, women whose mahram has been selected and has paid the amount, ut could not submit the application form due to non-availability of passport or any other reason can avail of this facility. They can apply online on the website of Central Haj Committee www.hajcommittee.gov.in. Women having an international passport valid up to January 31, 2020, and who have not performed Haj previously are eligible to apply by May 6.
