Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has been selected for the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration in the category ‘Other states’. The State has been awarded specifically for its excellence in implementing ‘Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana’.
The award will be presented by the Prime Minister of India on the Civil Services Day to be held in Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi on April 21, 2018.
The office of the Prime Minister has directed GHMC Commissioner Dr B. Janardhan Reddy to receive the award on behalf of the capital city.
Meanwhile, TS Municipal Administration & Urban Development Departments & Director of Municipal Administration has been awarded the HUDCO Award for satellite imagery of properties & GIS mapping for revenue improvement.
