IRISET inks MOU with Osmania University
Hyderabad: Indian Railway Institute of Signal Engineering and Telecommunications, Secunderabad, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Osmania University College of Engineering for offering M.Tech and ME Degree in Railway Signal and Telecommunications Engineering for Indian Railway Service of Signal Engineering probationers recruited through the UPSC Indian Engineering Service Examination.
As per the MoU, training programme and field training will include additional subjects like Systems and Software Engineering, Reliability Engineering, EMI/EMC. The MoU will boost the industry interaction with academics and allows exchange of faculty and other resources. Students of OU can undertake project work and access to laboratories of IRISET.
UoH man joins MSME as economic investigator
Kumar Ashish, pursuing Ph.D. at the School of Economics, University of Hyderabad (UoH), recently joined the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MS-ME) Development Organisa-tion as Assistant Director, Economic Investigation.
He got selected for this under the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, through the UPSC recruitment process. Ashish finished five year integrated masters programme in Economics from UoH in 2011 and worked for two years as Research Associate.
