Hyderabad: Speeding van hits 2-wheeler killing 1
Hyderabad: One person was killed and two others sustained multiple injuries when their two-wheeler was hit by a speeding van at Parvathapur under Medipally police station limits early on Tuesday.
Medipally inspector B. Anji Reddy said Andaram, 22, along with his cousins Norath Gujjar and Ranjeeth Gujjar, residents of Mamatha Colony in Nagole, were returning home from a function at Kachavani Singaram on Monday night. When the bike (TS07 FY 1245) was near Nagole, a speeding van (AP11 AM 4604) collided head on with the two-wheeler on the main road near Parvathapur.
Mr Anji Reddy said the trio fell on the road and received multiple injuries. Andaram, who was riding the bike. died on the spot, while the other two victims were rushed to a nearby private hospital for treatment. A case has been registered against the van driver based on a complaint from a cousin of the deceased and search is on to nab him.
