VIJAYAWADA: Former CBI joint director V.V. Lakshminarayana will contest from the Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha constituency on a Jana Sena ticket, according to a list of candidates released by the party on Tuesday.
Interestingly, Gajuwaka, from where Jana Sena chief is contesting the Assembly election, is a segment of the Vizag LS constituency.
The party fielded Ms Pasupuleti Usha Kiran, Mr Kona Tata Rao and Mr Gampala Giridhar from the Visakhapatnam North, South and East Assembly seats.
Mr Kalyan had wanted to field Mr Lakshminarayana from the Kurnool or Nandyal Lok Sabha seats of Rayalaseema but the former CBI official expressed a desire to contest from either Visakhapatnam or Kakinada.
