TTD keeps focus on sanitation issue
Nellore: TTD executive officer Anil Kumar Singhal on Monday said that the issue of sanitation would be in focus at the time of the annual Brahmotsavams this year in Tirumala. Addressing a review meeting at the conference hall of TTD administrative building in Tirupati with senior officers, the EO directed the engineering wing to construct more toilets in Tirumala.
He instructed health officer Dr Sermista to take care of sanitation to the best possible level. “Keeping in view our past experiences, there should not be any complaint from pilgrims. Construct sufficient number of toilets and there should not be any compromise on the maintenance front,” he added. The EO also directed Tirupati JEO P. Bhaskar to negotiate with the concerned authorities from different states on the issue of sending their unique art troupes to perform during the annual Brahmotsavams of Tirumala this year.
The TTD administrative head reviewed the replacement of DFMDs (Doorframe Metal Detectors), scanners, CCTV cameras, video walls etc. with CVSO A. Ravi Krishna. The EO instructed the CVSO to come out with a detailed security plan for all institutions, temples and information centres under the TTD.
The EO said there will be a review meeting on arrangements of upcoming annual Brahmotsavams at Vontimitta of Kadapa district on March 22 with TTD and district authorities. Tirumala JEO K.S. Sreenivasa Raju, special officer N. Muktheswara Rao, FACAO Balaji, CE Chandra Sekhar Reddy and other senior officers were also present.
