Contract HMDA staff hold Chalo assembly' march
As many as 1,200 outsourced and contract workers will participate in the march.
Hyderabad: Demanding a wage hike on par with the permanent employees, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) workers have decided to organise a state-wide ‘Chalo Assembly’ march, which will be held on March 20.
As many as 1,200 outsourced and contract workers will participate in the march. The HMDA workers demanded a hike in the wages of the outsourced employees, on par with that of the permanent workers, for whom the new Pay Revision Commission (PRC) had been implemented recently.
Equal parity for equal work and regularisation of the contract workers, were some of the other demands, which were pending for a long time.
