GBTA set to launch membership drive in India
Chennai: The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA), which established its India regional chapter a year ago, is all set to launch its membership drive in the country. In addition, the association has planned a series of workshops in primary cities.
GBTA will also be organising two annual conferences in Mumbai and New Delhi. The Delhi conference will be held on August 18, at Pullman Aerocity Hotel, while the event in Mumbai will be held on October 6, at Taj Lands End Mumbai. This year's activities will conclude with a Business Travel Forum at ITB Singapore on October 27, 2017.
The GBTA, which is the voice of the global business travel industry, will aggressively take up a membership drive in India to enlist both business travel buyers and industry. GBTA has set a target of increasing the present membership, which is less than 100 to at least 500 in India by April 2018.
GBTA is the world's largest association of business travel professionals and it would approach professionals in the industry - both on the buyer's side and on the industry side, to join the association and take advantage of networking, research reports, educational seminars and professional certifications.
GBTA India shares new ideas with other GBTA regions on six continents, and over 30 countries around the world. Collectively, GBTA's 6,000-plus members manage over $350 billion of global business travel and meetings expenditures annually.
GBTA provides its network of 25,000 business and government travel and meetings managers, as well as travel service providers, with networking events, news, education & professional development, research, and advocacy.
