Tech to help justice: Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao
CM offers technology for faster delivery of justice.

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Saturday said that periodical reviews, coordination and better understanding among executive, legislature and judiciary would lead to better development of the country. He was addressing the inaugural session of the two-day state-level judicial officers’ conference here.
While congratulating Acting Chief Justice Dilip B. Bhosale for his initiatives to render speedy justice to the needy, Mr Rao said though the initiative led to 35 per cent faster delivery of cases in both states, as high as five lakh cases were pending in subordinate courts in TS and 2.72 lakh cases in the High Court.
Hoping that the conference would help in speedy disposal of cases, the CM said that when the people went to a court of law they shouldn’t feel that they were going to an ordinary government office, but feel that they were going to a temple for justice. “They come to a court for protection of their independence, individual rights and property,” the CM said.
He said that it was the time to rewrite the saying “justice delayed is justice denied”. Mr Rao said the TS government was ready to extend all required support to the judiciary for steps being taken by it using modern technology to render speedy justice to the needy.
Commencing his speech in Telugu Mr Rao said as his AP counterpart N. Chandrababu Naidu spoke in English, he wanted to do so in Telugu to explain his views.
Telangana, Maharashtra reach consensus
A broad consensus between engineering officials of Telangana and Maharashtra states was reached on Saturday at a day-long meeting held on construction of three new barrages across Godavari, Penganga and Pranahita rivers.
This was a first follow-up meeting between the officials of the two states after an accord was reached recently between Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and K. Chandrasekhar Rao on March 8.
In the coordination and standing committee meetings held here at the MCR HRD, an understanding was reached on Chankha-Korata, Tammidihatti, and Medigadda barrages with 148 feet FRL for Tammidihatti and 100 feet FRL at Medigadda (Kaleswaram Lift project).
The officials have decided to prepare detailed project reports which will be submitted to Central Water Commission and Ministries for approval.
The two CMs will again meet and arrive at agreement specific to the projects.
