Visakhapatnam: AP Eastern Power Distribution Company Ltd (APEPDCL) chairman and managing director H.Y. Dora resigned from his post seven months before the end of his tenure because of his alleged role in the Rs 131-crore scam. After an in-depth inquiry, AP Transco vigilance officials identified some irregularities in procuring covered conductors from Bengaluru-based Raychem Rpg Ltd in 2016 when he was the CMD at AP Southern Power Distribution Company Ltd (APSPDCL).
Along with Mr Dora, another 20-30 senior officials were also allegedly involved in this scam. The vigilance officials have submitted a detailed report to the AP Transco.
