KPCC to come out with LS poll manifesto
Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee will also be coming out with a manifesto for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections apart from that of the All-India Congress Committee.
Senior leader K. Muraleedharan MLA who is also the chairman of the election campaign committee informed this in New Delhi after its first meeting with the AICC leadership on Tuesday.
The norm is that members of the manifesto committee from across the country come up with recommendations for the national manifesto.
This time with Sabarimala issue and politics of violence practised by the CPM, Mr Muraleedharan as well as others wanted a state-specific manifesto separately.
Meanwhile, Opposition Leader Ramesh Chennithala inaugurated the first meeting of the media coordination committee headed by Palode Ravi.
Dr Shashi Tharoor MP, chairman of the KPCC's digital media, and its state convener, Anil Antony, were present.
