No interest waiver on tax: GHMC

Hyderabad: The GHMC would conduct a property tax parishkaram in the circle and zonal offices to clear property tax issues on Sunday from February 24 to March 31.

GHMC commissioner M. Dana Kishore asked property owners to pay taxes on time and said there would be no interest waiver.

Against the target of Rs 1500 crore, the corporation has collected Rs 976 crore from property tax.

The corporation has set a target of collecting Rs 524 crore in 40 days during the current financial year. Mr Kishore pointed out that the GHMC had not raised property tax for several years.
