Mr Kumar's supporters obstructed the padayatra and levelled allegations against him at Venkatapalem.

Members of the rival group, which is headed by Tadikonda MLA T. Sravan Kumar, entered into an argument with Mr Rao on learning that he had told the TD leadership not to give party ticket to the MLA in the general polls, approaching fast.

According to reports, initially, Mr Rao had plans to take out a padayatra demanding that the MLA not be given party ticket. However, he changed his plan and took out the padayatra wishing that Mr Naidu become a CM for one more term in the coming general elections, to be held in a couple of months.

However, Mr Kumar’s supporters obstructed the padayatra and levelled allegations against him at Venkatapalem.
