6 fires in 24 hours in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: Six fire accidents occurred within 24 hours in the city at six different places.
One of the fires was reportedly caused by a short circuit in a shop near Mozamjahi market. Another broke out in a godown in Lingojiguda, Gauthaminagar.
A short circuit caused the fire on the ground floor of a shop near Srinath Bakery, Shop No 3 Sharja Estates, Osmangunj. The fire department got a call around 1.00 am on Friday. J Raj Kumar, station fire official, said that two fire engines were rushed to the spot and it took nearly an hour to douse the fire. Property destroyed could be worth Rs 5 lakh.
In Tappachabutra, a private mini bus AP 11 V 9990 parked on the road was allegedly set ablaze by miscreants. The fifth incident was a fire at Kukatpally church and the sixth one in Barkas was caused by careless smoking.
