Telangana may notify 9,000 jobs through TSPSC
Hyderabad: The TS Public Service Commission has filled 5,940 vacancies in various departments since July 2015. The notifications for filling another 9,342 vacancies are under various stages.
The TSPSC on Thursday submitted its annual report for 2015-16 to Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan. TSPSC chairman Ghanta Chakrapani along with other commission members met the Governor and submitted the report.
The Governor expressed his satisfaction over the progress made by TSPSC over the last two years and appreciated the refo-rms introduced by the panel in recruitment process and interview system.
Mr Chakrapani told the Governor that TSPSC had issued 13 job notifications in 2015-16 (April 1, 2015 to March 31, 2016) notifying 3,425 posts in various departments. The written exams were held for 12 notifications. Over 8.65 lakh candidates had applied for these exams. Of these candidates, 1.86 lakh had appeared for the exams. As many as 1,933 candidates were shortlisted for interview and of them 1,174 have made it to the final selection list.
A large number of vacancies pertain to assistant executive engineer (civil) posts, where 931 vacancies were filled. The other major vacancies filled include agriculture officers (120), assistant (finance and accounts in HMWSSB) posts (115), Town planning building operators (123), manager (Engineering) in HMWSSB (146), agriculture extension officers (1,311), etc.

TS Public Service Commission said in a report submitted to Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan that it has filled 5,940 vacancies since July last and notifications for another 9,342 were under various stages of preparation.
TSPSC chairman Ghanta Chakrapani, who met the Governor along with commission members, said the commission had had issued 13 job notifications in 2015-16 notifying 3,425 posts in various departments. He said 8.65 lakh candidates had applied for the 12 written tests conducted by the commission. of whom 1.86 lakh had taken the tests.
