Hyderabad: South Zone police denied permission for organizing rallies in protest against CAA and NRC near Charminar.

Left parties and others changed the venue to Exhibition grounds in Nampally. Meetings with different groups are being conducted to spread awareness about CAA and NRC and the need to reject them.

The Left parties and its front organizations have planned to take out a rally from Charminar to Exhibition grounds on Thursday.

Former Member of Rajya Sabha, Mr Aziz Pasha said the purpose of the rally was to oppose the Union Government’s action, but the Police denied permission for a peaceful rally from Charminar.

Secretary AWAAZ Mr Mohammed Abbas said the police allowed them to organize a rally from Exhibition grounds to Telugu University, Nampally. Likewise Amarat e Millat e Islamia was also denied to hold protest programmes on Thursday. Tehreek Muslim Shabban planned a public meeting, while Amarat wanted to protest at Dharna Chowk, Indira Park.

TMS President, Mr Mohammed Mushtaq Malik said ‘we had applied for an indoor meeting, which was earlier denied by ACP Asifnagar Mr Siva Maruti, but the Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad Mr Anjani Kumar has granted permission in the night.’

Moulana Mohammed Hussamuddin Sani Jafar Pasha Ameer Amarat e Millat e Islamia said a meeting scheduled on Thursday at Media Plus auditorium, Gun Foundry was also cancelled.
