The YSRC cadre at various levels showed positive signs to the party in the coming polls.

Anantapur: YSR Congress chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy had successfully completed 500 km of his scheduled 3, 000 km Praja Sankalpa Yatra in Dharmavaram Assembly segment on Monday. The leader of the Opposition kick started Praja Sankalpa Yatra at Idupulapaya in Kadapa district and toured in Kadapa, Kurnool and Anantapur districts, so far. Even as several leaders and representatives quit YSRC and joined Telugu Desam from Rayalaseema region, the yatra witnessed no impact of these defections for the past 38 days.

The YSRC cadre at various levels showed positive signs to the party in the coming polls. Uravakonda MLA Y. Visweswar Reddy said that the yatra is very encouraging for the party. “People are with Jagan even as some leaders sold out to ruling party. Heavy turnout of people indicates that there is anti-incumbency sentiment in the state,” he said and further added the people are ready to teach lesson to Chandrababu Naidu.

The 38th day of Praja Sankalpa Yatra began from Dharmavaram mandal on Monday covering Bilvampalli, Nelakota thanda, Nelakota and halt at Tanakantivaripalli. Mr Reddy reiterated that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu government has completely lost its credibility after duping every section of the society by going back on the election promises.

The leader of Opposition during his yatra noticed an orphan old women lying on the road and immediately, took a detour from his cavalcade and instructed YSRC Dharmavaram Assembly constituency coordinator Ketireddy Venkata Rami Reddy to take her to the nearest hospital for treatment.

Many women complained that benefits of the government schemes were going only to the ruling party members. An Asha scheme worker said that cases were slapped against her for questioning the government’s false claims on employment generation. Responding to their complaints, Mr Reddy assured that once the party assumes power all their problems would be quickly addressed.
