Vijayawada: With new year’s eve around the corner, parties and trips are on everyone’s mind. Some people like to begin the year at their favourite destination, or at a new location, while others like to enjoy good food, music and drinks in the company of their family and friends. Amaravati, the capital city, is expected to be aglow with festivities on December 31.
Resorts, hotels, and private event managers in and around Vijayawada and Guntur are organising mega shows with incomparable facilities, a mind-blowing list of activities, and enthralling ambiences to fulfil everyone’s requirements of a perfect new year bash. Movie stars, dancers, music directors, singers, and comedians will be entertaining people at various venues, and residents of the city are rushing to book their tickets for these events.
DJs from popular clubs such as Playboy and Prost will be in the city to make the citizens of Vijayawada groove to their tunes, for the first time, at Bliss 2018. The event is being organised by L. Kalyan and T. Aditya, two youngsters who, after having celebrated new year’s eve all over the country, want to bring the party to Amaravati. Bliss 2018 will be held at AB Convention Hall in Gannavaram, near the city. “DJ Sidhu, the winner of the War of DJs and the resident DJ of Prost; and DJ Nitin Anand, the resident DJ of Playboy, will entertain the crowd at Bliss 2018 with their music and UV lighting effects. We are very happy with the response that we have received so far. NRI students, doctors, and foreign nationals have reserved their tickets,” says L. Kalyan.
The Illuminate Party will be held A Convention Hall, at the centre of the city, for the third time. “New year culture has been catching on in the city over the past few years. We are organising Illuminate for the third time; last year it was held on January 1. But this year, we will entertain people on December 31. The response has been good; we are expecting about 1,200 participants,” says Ponnam Ram, one of the organisers of the event.
The Haailand Resort and Theme Park at Chinnakakani in Guntur district is gearing up to host New Year 2018, a star-studded gala to usher in the new year in style. The event is being organised by the MMR group and D4 Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. Tollywood and Bollywood stars including Tamannaah, Sampoornesh Babu, music director Sai Karthik, choreographer Natraj Master, and anchor Ravi will entertain people at the event. Other clubs that are planning special new year’s bashes are the Vijayawada Club, the Fun Day Club and the Executive Club.
