Hyderabad: Tuesday’s RTC staff ‘Sadak Bandh’ put off

Hyderabad: The Joint Action Committee of various TSRTC unions has put off its ‘Sadak Bandh’ programme scheduled on Tuesday following Telangana High Court’s judgement on strike by Road Transport Corporation employees.

JAC convener E. Ashvatthama Reddy and co-convener Raji Reddy have also called off their hunger strike at Osmania General Hospital.

 

Telangana Jana Samithi president M. Kodandaram, CPI state secretary Chada Venkat Reddy, CPM state secretary T. Veerabadram, BJP leader Mohan Reddy and MRPS president Manda Krishna Madiga persuaded JAC leaders to end their hunger strike. Speaking to media, Asvhatthama Reddy said though the strike by RTC employees would continue, the Sadak Bandh programme on Tuesday has been postponed.
