Speaking on the occasion, Mahendar Reddy appreciated the services of police from the four districts in maintaining law and order, especially in the agency areas present in the four districts along the borders of Telangana and Chhattisgarh states.

Of total 20 members of the Maoist Central Committee, 11 are from Telangana, most of them living underground.

The DGP said Telangana police are determined to make the state Maoist-free by taking up operations against them. He advised members of the Maoists group to leave the revolutionary path in the interim and surrender before the police to lead a normal life.

Mahendar Reddy said the government is ready to provide surrendered Maoists rehabilitation along with many other facilities. They must think wisely and lead their lives with their family members peacefully.
