HYDERABAD: Municipal administra-tion and urban development Minister K. T. Rama Rao on Friday gave away the Industries Awards, 2019, at an event organised jointly by the Conference of Indian Industries and the state government here.
The event “Manufac-turing Excellence 2019” on the theme ‘Smart Manufacturing’ was also attended by principal secretary Jayesh Ranjan and Telangana CII chairman D. Raju.
Instituted in 2017, the awards recognise “exceptional achievements” by businesses based in Telangana. This year, the awards were divided into four categories – financial performance, innovation, CSR, and employee practices. Companies that won the awards had nominated themselves on the Telangana GlobalLink-er platform. Commending the winners, Jayesh Ranjan said, “This year awards were bagged by diverse companies with incredible achievements ranging from innovation in biotechnology to special purpose machinery.”
