Visakhapatnam: Parts of North Andhra Pradesh will have a wet Diwali, with the weather bureau predicting rain as a fall out of the well marked low pressure area over west central Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood possibly concentrating into a depression on Thursday.
According to Indian Meteorological Department, isolated places of north coastal AP may receive heavy rain on Thursday.
A few places of coastal Andhra Pradesh will also witness good showers. Cloudy weather conditions and drizzle prevailed over north coastal AP on Wednesday.
There was no rain other than scattered drizzles in a few places of Srikakulam district. The IMD said that under influence of the weather system, strong surface winds with a speed of 45 kmph to 50 kmph will prevail along and off coastal Andhra Pradesh in the next 24 hours.
Fishermen are advised to not venture into the sea in coastal Andhra Pradesh. The weather conditions are expected to bring down the maximum temperatures by up to 6ºC in north coastal AP.
